Extended School Year

ASD offers dynamic summer opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing students. Open to both ASD and non-ASD students, our Extended School Year (ESY) program incorporates thematic learning experiences and work opportunities for older students as part of their transition programming.

ESY is approved by the Connecticut Department of Education.

Eligibility for ESY must be determined each year for individual students at their annual Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings. All programs incorporate literacy and math skills into their daily instruction to prevent regression.
