The American School for the Deaf is dedicated to serving deaf and hard of hearing infants, youth and their families in development of intellect and the enhancement of quality of life utilizing specially designed instruction through an American Sign Language and English Bilingual Approach, empowering them to become educated and self-directed, lifelong learners.
 
The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is one of the world’s largest membership organizations and information centers on pediatric hearing loss and the auditory approach. AG Bell focuses specifically on children with hearing loss, providing ongoing support and advocacy for parents, professionals and other interested parties.

The American Academy of Audiology is the world's largest professional organization of, by, and for audiologists. The active membership of more than 12,000 is dedicated to providing quality hearing care services through professional development, education, research, and increased public awareness of hearing and balance disorders.

The American Cochlear Implant Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization created with the purpose of eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation by sponsoring research, driving heightened awareness and advocating for improved access to cochlear implants for patients of all ages across the US.
 
The American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) is committed to empowering diverse families with deaf children and youth by embracing full access to language-rich environments through mentoring, advocacy, resources, and collaborative networks.

The ASHFoundation is a charitable organization working to promote a better quality of life for children and adults with communication disorders. Our mission is to advance knowledge about the causes and treatment of hearing, speech, and language problems.

Since the opening of Boys Town National Research Hospital in 1977, the hospital has been internationally recognized as a leader in clinical and research programs focusing on childhood deafness, visual impairment and related communication disorders. We have developed national medical programs that are now instituted in hospitals and clinics across the country.

The mission of the Connecticut Association of the Deaf (CAD) as a state association is to promote, protect, and preserve the rights and quality of life of Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens of Connecticut.

Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center, Inc. (CPAC) is a statewide nonprofit organization that offers information and support to families of children with any disability or chronic illness, age birth through 26. The Center is committed to the idea that parents can be the most effective advocates for their children, given the confidence that knowledge and understanding of special education law and its procedures can bring.

The Connecticut Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (CRID) was founded in 1971, and is one of more than 60 local chapters of the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf

The Connecticut State Department of Education is the administrative arm of the Connecticut State Board of Education. Through leadership, curriculum, research, planning, evaluation, assessment, data analyses and other assistance, the Department helps to ensure equal opportunity and excellence in education for all Connecticut students. The Department is responsible for distributing funds to the state’s 166 school districts. The Department also operates the Connecticut Technical High School System.

The Commission on the Deaf and Hearing Impaired (CDHI) was created by the Connecticut State Legislature in 1974 to advocate, strengthen and implement state policies affecting Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and their relationship to the public, industry, health care, and educational opportunities.

PATH Parent to Parent/Family Voices of Connecticut is a network of families providing informational and emotional support to others who have a child with developmental or health related needs.

Soundbridge is a regional program that provides specialized expertise and technology to promote listening and speaking in children with hearing loss. Now in its 49th year, Soundbridge provides a full continuum of services designed to meet the varied needs of children with hearing loss from birth to 21.

SERC is a quasi-public agency primarily funded by the Connecticut State Department of Education. SERC provides professional development and information dissemination in the latest research and best practices to educators, service providers, and families throughout the state, as well as job-embedded technical assistance and training within schools, programs, and districts.

TDI (formally known as Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc. ) was established in 1968 originally to promote further distribution of TTYs in the deaf community and to publish an annual national directory of TTY numbers. Today, it is an active national advocacy organization focusing its energies and resources to address equal access issues in telecommunications and media for people who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, late-deafened, and deaf-blind.

The Deaf Resource Library is a virtual library—an online collection of reference material and links intended to educate and inform people about Deaf cultures in Japan and the United States; as well as deaf and hard of hearing related topics. While I have a bias towards cultural Deaf models, I have tried to include more material about hard of hearing issues as well.

We Connect Now is dedicated to uniting people interested in rights and issues affecting people with disabilities, with particular emphasis on college students and access to higher education and employment issues.
