ASD Theater Immersion Program

Randy D'Angelo
This summer the collaboration between The National Theater of the Deaf and The American School for the Deaf has brought the Theater Immersion Program back to the Visual Communication Center (VCC).  This year, 10 high school students are learning character development, stage presence, improvisation, and working on ASL story telling, poetry, and short plays under the leadership of Patrick Fischer, Christina Stevens, and Bill Halscheid.

The culmination will be an evening show (Free to the ASD community) in the VCC on Thursday August 8th starting at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm).

Students will perform original stories, poetry, as well as 3 short plays.  Two of the scripts are excerpts from the comedy "The Good Doctor" by Neil Simon.
