Academics

Learning Resource Center

Almost 21,000 books, periodicals and media products support the basis of an educational partnership with school principals, teachers, staff, students, parents and the Library staff. Our collaboration ensures that the Library contributes fully to the educational process and assists in the attainment of educational outcomes.

Technical Resources

The LRC computer lab supports a wide range of electronic media.
  • Research tools
  • Interactive learning activities
  • Free and subscription databases
Many of our online databases, including our Library's union catalog, can be accessed on and off campus by teachers, students, parents and staff. Additionally, we are part of the State Library Consortium and participate in the statewide Inter Library Loan Program.

All visual media is accessible with captions, English subtitles, or American Sign Language (ASL). The LRC houses more than 400 captioned DVDs on subjects as diverse as science, history, math, sports, fine art, job skills, computers and language arts.

Instruction and Consulting

The Librarian and staff assist faculty and off-campus patrons by providing up-to-date professional materials. We retain archives of recent professional journals, as well as popular periodicals for student research.

In addition to supporting the curriculum and working to meet the needs of a diverse school community, the Librarian and LRC staff provide leadership, instruction and consulting in the use of instructional resources and information technology.
