The American School for the Deaf has relied on the generous support of the community since our founding. Since 1817, generous private citizens and community-minded corporations have helped deaf and hard of hearing individuals become educated, independent, self-directed citizens. Supporting ASD is unselfishly helping children with a major disadvantage achieve a more level playing field in life. We rely upon philanthropic support to help provide for the projects and programs to empower each exceptional child to become confident, compassionate, and proactive members of his or her community.
