Audiologists will assist in determining if one is an appropriate candidate for cochlear implantation, and informational kits are available for those interested in learning more about cochlear implants. Center staff are also available to provide workshops and/or training for school staff regarding how to provide the most appropriate services to students with cochlear implants, as well as peer in-services to educate other students about cochlear implants.

Testing, repairs and maintenance are available at the Cochlear Implant Center, including audiologic testing, troubleshooting and repairs of Cochlear Implants, replacement of external parts and repairs through manufacturers.

Therapeutic services include aural habilitation (listening therapy) in addition to the speech and language services offered through ASD. MAPping services may incorporate recommendations from therapy providers. MAPping adjustments are heavily speech focused.
