The American School for the Deaf (ASD) is celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2017; a celebration of not only the school’s distinction as the birthplace of American Sign Language and deaf education in the United States, but also its longstanding historical prominence in the city of Hartford.
This is an exciting and pivotal milestone in the school’s history, and the school will be hosting many events surrounding its Bicentennial.
