| Scope of Duties: |
Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Outreach Programming, designs and provides educational services to public school districts. |
| Primary Duties: |
- Develops understanding of all ASD programs and services, and works cooperatively with Outreach staff and assigned LEA.
- Assists in planning annual out reach program goals and activities.
- Identifies needs of public schools and recommends solutions to help address them.
- Collaborates with public school personnel and other agency personnel.
- Conducts analysis of needs and helps ASD determine role and positioning.
- Provides consultation and direct services as per contracts with public schools.
- May provide direct services to public schools/other agencies and complies with public school requirements as per contract agreement.
- Other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor’s Degree in Education of the Deaf or related field. Prefer 3-5 years of professional teaching experience. Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of deafness, problem solving abilities, willingness to travel, good Public Relations skills, good organizational skills. Ability to deal with professionals in the Public School System, State Agencies and other human service organizations. State of CT Teacher Certification or ability to secure same. SCPI Advanced level preferred. |
| Salary & Benefits: |
- Compensation range is specified by union contract on a ten-month basis.
- Retirement, group health insurance and other fringe benefits are available on a pro-rated basis to part-time employees.
