Job Title: Community sign language class instructor(s)

  Temporary eight-week schedule
Scope of Duties: Under the supervision of the Sign Languages Services Program  Manager,  teaches sign language to community participants and ASD staff in the on-campus community sign language classes.      
Primary Duties:
  • Assists with the development of curriculum, course content, and material development. 
  • Networks with other staff and uses a variety of resources in teaching and helping people make connections. 
  • Keeps attendance of class participants and provides evaluation forms for class assessment.
   
Minimum Requirements: SLPI Level is expected to be Advanced or Advanced Plus-Superior Plus range. The ability to work as a team member.    Knowledge of deafness and deaf culture.  ASL teaching experience preferred.
