Scope of Duties:

Under the supervision of the Director of Outreach and Support Services, or designee, provides early childhood services to children in ASD’s Birth-to-3. Works collaboratively with Early Childhood Services’ supervisors and staff.

Primary Duties:

Makes home visits to children and families.
Works with families and team members to develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans, evaluations, and assist with transition process.
Writes reports and completes paperwork according to ASD and CT Birth-to-3 requirements.
Participates in training and meetings, attends workshops.
Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

State of Connecticut certification or license in at least one of the following: Speech and
Language Pathology, Teacher of the Deaf. Experience working with Deaf/Hard-of-hearing
children, ages Birth-to-3, preferred. Background, experience with different language and
communication modalities including: ASL, Aural/Oral, Auditory Verbal, and Cued Speech
preferred. Ability to relate well to parents, particularly racial and ethnic minority families.
Willingness to travel in state and work flexible hours. Sign language skills and knowledge of
Deaf Culture. Sensitive, dependable. Candidate will participate in Service Coordination
Training. SCPI level of Intermediate Plus preferred.

Salary & Benefits:

Compensation is dependent on qualifications and experience.
